French for Travelers 🇫🇷

Ready-to-speak in less than a month

Do you want to come back from France telling all your friends how you had the best time ever?

Planning a trip to France? That's awesome! 😃

I'm excited for you, you're going to love:

  • Making friends with French people
  • Being invited over for the apéro
  • Sharing a laugh with the little lady to whom you're renting a room
  • Listening to Jean-Claude telling you all about how his grandpa built this house
  • Tasting buttery flaky croissants, and fruity macarons while sipping a cup of coffee

Imagine how much fun you're going to have and how many things you'll have to share when you come back!

Eh, you might even be lucky and get a place to stay next time you're around!

There's just one problem... You don't know what apéro is and you don't speak French

And learning French seems like such a daunting task...

☹️ All those complicated grammar rules you are scared of (and I'm not even talking about verb tenses),

😟 Looking at a textbook makes you nauseous,

😔 French pronunciation is a complete enigma,

🥺 You don't even know where to start, and you're not too keen on spending hours and hours taking French classes,

Plus, French people seem to have very little interest in communicating with you.

That's a bummer!

GOOD NEWS 🎉 It doesn't have to be that way

In all my years as a language teacher, I've seen plenty of people like you.

And, I'm happy to say... You don't need to:

⛔️ shoot for fluency

⛔️ know when to use the subjunctive

⛔️ decide if you need to use être ou avoir

⛔️ guess if the -u is silent in Bourguignon

⛔️ spend hours on end looking for the easiest way to order in French

⛔️ only to then spend even MORE time nose deep in your French lessons

In fact, if your goal is to speak French to travel, you are loosing your time, energy and probably money if you're doing it that way.

Plus, chances are, once abroad, you won't be able to even understand spoken French.

You could EASILY speak French in France in less than a month 👌

Wouldn't that be amazing?

Speaking French in France, it's not only for your ego (although that's also great).

There are plenty of amazing benefits:

🙂 Actually MEETING French people and conversing with them (potentially making friends and having a place to stay next time),

😀 Avoid passing as a rude tourist, getting French people to like you, and therefor, enhance your experience of France

Getting in touch with the REAL France, beyond the clichés, misunderstandings and mistranslations

In short, you'll be in for a smoother, more enjoyable experience.

So how does it work?

In this French course, we are going beyond the sentences you can find in phrasebooks:

  • I'll guide you through the basic phrase structures you need,
  • how to modify them to fit your needs with specific vocabulary,
  • And, more importantly, how to pronounce all of that to get yourself understood.

But we will also talk about:

  • French culture
  • The basic infrastructures of France so you know exactly where to go
  • Where to go for the most authentic experience and what to avoid
  • And much more (check out the curriculum)

What you are going to learn:

🇫🇷 How to interact with French people and behave in France: French politeness, what to do and not to do in France.

🇫🇷 How to ask questions to find your way around France, where to ask for this information and how French people are going to give you directions.

🇫🇷 How to easily travel around France.

🇫🇷 Where to go for the best food, how to interact with your waiter for the best service.

🇫🇷 How to interact with your French host, would it be in a guesthouse or in a hotel.

🇫🇷 What to visit in France, where to go first, and how to discover the real France.

🇫🇷 How to make friends out of French people: which topics to avoid, which ones to use, and how to spark up conversations.

What to do in case of emergency in France: who to call, where to go and what to do.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start and finish?
The course starts now and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
Is this actually better than a phrasebook?
A phrase book is a wonderful resource material for French learners. But this course goes beyond what you'll find in a phrase book. This course is designed to PREPARE you to travel in France, which means, that after the course, you won't have to guess how to pronounce anything (or try to make sense of the phonetic signs), and you'll have inside knowledge on how to travel around to get an authentic experience.
Is this better than a language app?
Learning French for travel is specific. Apps aren't. Take Duolingo for example. To learn French specifically for travel, you'd have to go through tons of other vocabulary and sentences you'll NEVER use. "The sugar is on the table" is not something you're likely to say when traveling in France. This course is much more specific. You will learn sentences and vocabulary you will ACTUALLY use in France. And, you will also learn about the French culture. That's something you'll never learn from an app.
How long will it take me to take the course? How much time per week should I put into it?
The whole course can be taken in a week. - But, I'll advise you again binge-watching it in a short time. You'll need time to digest the information, think about it, and train your newly acquired French sentences. My students get the best results taking the course with this schedule: 20mins a day, 4 to 5 times a week for a month. You'll need to watch some videos several times to train your ears and mouth to French.
I have another question.
